My job was previously performed by Dr Marion Wells and Carole Thain and was known as The Town Centre Co-Ordinator. Whilst my job essentially remains the same, promoting our brilliant town, helping to organise events, producing the Town Guide, and helping those already doing it, some businesses outside of the direct centre of the town did not feel included due to the ‘Town Centre’ element of the job title, so the name was changed.

My title has been changed ….to Choose Woodbridge Manager. This reflects the fact that I work for the whole town

I work for the Choose Woodbridge Partnership (trading as Woodbridge Town Centre Management Company Limited-WTCM) a group of businesses and supporters who want to promote our fantastic town. This group was set up several years ago when a large supermarket paid money to Suffolk Coastal District Council for the privelege of trading nearby and the WTCM was formed, incorporating the Chamber of Commerce.

The Choose Woodbridge Partnership have worked in organising events for the town, producing the Town Guide and making the town safe….We have CCTV now, part funded by us.

I believe in ‘action’. One of my favourite quotes is “When all is said and done, more is said than done”. I have been getting round to businesses and interested parties in person and started working.

The What’s On page has now been updated and is ‘current’ so if you want something added then please contact me. The section should be particularly useful for businesses so you can plan, hopefully, for lots of trade.

We need to continue promoting the strengths of Woodbridge. Our fantastic range of ‘foodie’ shops, restaurants and pubs. Our stylish and independent fashion shops. Our history and the beauty of the town and its surroundings. The warmth of the people. Visitors love Woodbridge and ‘us’….once they find us!

We also neeed to promote the fact that shopping in Woodbridge is not expensive….people just think it is!

I live and shop in Woodbridge and the prices are always competitive and often cheaper than travelling outside the town.

I will circulate a paper version of Town Talk for those that are ‘web averse’. I won’t continue with the e-mail circulation, once people are aware that Town Talk is now on this site….Why?…. I want to be ‘open’ in the way I work, so that everyone can see I am working hard for Woodbridge and be able to contact me.

We want more people to view this site…please, spread the word that CHOOSE WOODBRIDGE is a good site to view.
