Voices in harmony – a concert of songs from around the world

Come on a journey of song with a pop-up choir of Woodbridge singers created specially for this one-off concert. Voices in harmony will be a concert of exquisite and enchanting harmony singing.

Choirmaster Chris Rowbury has taken 30 local singers on a Singing Safari. They have been gathering songs from across the globe and are now ready to share them. The concert will take place at St. Mary’s Church, Market Hill, Woodbridge on Saturday 28 May at 7.30pm.

The performance will draw on musical traditions from around the world. Thrill to rhythmic songs from Africa and uplifting gospel from the US. Sink into sumptuous harmonies from Eastern Europe. Swoon to the sweet exotic sounds of the Pacific. Joining the project for the first time will be the vocal quintet Stumrebi singing powerful and beautiful polyphonic songs from the Republic of Georgia.
