Art in the Library

Throughout September, certain artworks by Dick Dolan, local artist, keen cyclist and ex-teacher, will be on display.

Describing his current work in his own words;

“In February this year I was exploring a new way of painting - taking a much more intuitive,

abstract approach. In February Putin invaded Ukraine and the news was full of what was

happening. I gradually became aware that the paintings seemed to be expressing the story

of the invasion - but there was no conscious attempt at the time to do this.”

His work will be available for all to come and view, and if you take a particular fancy to any specific piece then there will also be a price sheet provided nearby.
