Suffolk Sketchfest 2024

Suffolk SketchFest returns with three days of sketching the maritime heritage and wildlife of the River Deben at Woodbridge.

Presented by Art Safari in Woodbridge from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th August 2024, encouraging everyone to share their creativity and enthusiasm for sketching outside.

Suffolk SketchFest boasts the beautiful River Deben right on its doorstep, centring the river and maritime scenery within artist-led workshops and finding new ways of appreciating the surrounding nature.

They have artist led sketch walks for you to join as well as other events to help you lean the joys and the skills of sketching outdoors. Sketching outdoors is a great way to understand, interact with and share our appreciation of the natural world.

Suffolk SketchFest’s inspiring artist tutors include:- Mary-Anne Bartlett, Claudia Myatt, Julia Cassels, Mark Boyd, Karen Pearson, Roger Dellar, Maxine Relton, Ian Sedge, Tom Shepherd, Alice Angus and Hilary Geelan.

Suffolk SketchFest is open to anyone who would like to have a go! Join them for one, two or all three days

• Artist-led sketching walks along the river wall at Woodbridge (upriver towards Melton, along the quayside and downriver towards Kyson Point and Martlesham Creek)
• Artist-led art workshops and demonstrations
