Enjoy four days of beaches, boats, seals, salt marshes and sea breeze on the North Norfolk coast with art tutor, Julia Cassels. Take inspiration from the endless churches, windmills, beach huts and little quays to create beautiful horizontal landscapes and seascapes.
Out and about, you will discover the vast marshes owned by the Norfolk Wildlife trust, the grey seals that inhabit Blakeney Point, along side the summer tern colony and many brightly coloured beach huts, that grace the long stretch of beach at Wells-next-the-Sea!
Our base for this Art Safari is the wonderful and unique ‘Cley Windmill’; a five-story converted tower mill, dating back to the 18th Century with extensive views of the marshes, the sea, Blakeney point and warm glowing sunset’s! You can choose to stay in one of the nine, individually designed bedrooms whether that’s in the mill itself, or one of the surrounding cosy cottages. Cley is a small, pretty village, surrounded by nature and water, giving you the true sense of tranquillity that the North Norfolk coast has to offer.
You will be under the tuition of Julia Cassels, an expert in nature, wildlife and capturing the natural fluidity and intimate understanding of her subjects. Her main speciality is watercolour, which will beautifully match the Norfolk coastline and landscapes
