There was a great Shuffler turn-out at the first of this season’s Suffolk League Cross Country races which took place at Framlingham in early November.

In mild conditions over 30 Shufflers competed against 500 runners representing clubs from all over Suffolk.  The 5 mile race started and finished at Framlingham Castle and involved two laps across the fields and the Mere, thankfully due to a dry Autumn there was little mud.

Last year, the Shufflers finished second and are hoping for similar success this year. The next races in the series are as follows:

Dec 1 – Sutton Heath – organised by the Woodbridge Shufflers.

Jan 12 - Stowmarket

Jan 19 - Haverhill

Feb 9 – Bury St Edmonds

Feb 16 - Bungay

The races also include junior races and are open to all abilities, but you have to be a member of a running club to take part. It’s not too late to take part this year and if you would like more information about joining the Shufflers, please go to www.woodbridgeshufflers.org.uk.
