The Lions Club of Woodbridge and District was founded in 1982 - and this year is therefore the Club’s 40th anniversary. To commemorate this event, the Club decided that there would be no better way to record this, in the year of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, than to plant a tree in a Woodbridge park!
The most appropriate site agreed was a spot in Elmshurst Park where the Club previously planted a tree to commemorate its 25th anniversary. Unfortunately the original tree failed to flourish in recent years but the Club has big hopes for this one!
