Choose Woodbridge teamed up with Woodbridge Town Council and Woodbridge Festival to put on a host of celebrations throughout the town over the long weekend, with the Thoroughfare packed out with revellers on Saturday.

Among the most popular attractions was the chance to write personal messages to the Queen, which were projected onto the Tide Mill on Saturday evening.

Dozens of messages were illuminated on the iconic building before they were sent to Her Majesty by post.

Other attractions included musical displays, family games and a travelling storyteller. Mayor of Woodbridge Patrick Gillard even joined in the fun by conducting an excelsior band.

A raffle was also held, with prizes kindly donated by Woodbridge Emporium, Co-op, Amore, Kitchen Shop and Choose Woodbridge.

John Risby, Choose Woodbridge director, added: “Together, Woodbridge put on two fantastic days to mark such a historic occasion.

“The atmosphere was amazing over the entire weekend and we are incredibly thankful to everyone who came along, and to Woodbridge Town Council for their support.”
