One unruly pig met another Unruly Pig last week as the gigantic puppet, star of Red Rose Chain’s Theatre in the Forest production of Macbeth at Sutton Hoo, called into the award winning pub as members of the cast showed their thanks to one of the show’s main sponsors.

The team at the accolade winning Unruly Pig (Top UK Gastropub 2022) were introduced to the towering pig, one of three stunning witch puppets designed by world renowned Nick Barnes Puppets recent winners of an Olivier Award for the creation of the astounding tiger puppet for ‘Life of Pi’ in the West End.

Theatre in the Forest has celebrated its return to outdoor theatre with a show stopping (about to sell out) production of Macbeth, set against the backdrop of the stunning Sutton Hoo just up the road from The Unruly Pig, and runs until 20th August.

Brendan Padfield, owner of ‘The Unruly Pig’ said, “The Unruly Pig is a proud supporter of the wonderful work the Red Rose Chain do with the disabled and those who are maginalised in society.  They make such a difference to so many people’s lives.”

Jo Carrick, artistic director of Red Rose Chain said, “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of Brendan and The Unruly Pig team, their sponsorship is vital for sustaining our community companies and enabling us to increase the impact of the work, providing free workshops and a place to belong at Red Rose Chain.”
