Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music celebrates fireworks night with environmentally friendly projections on the Tide Mill and music from DJs Ben Osborne and Richard Haugh, and VJ by Myogenic.

The Tide Mill and riverside are a beautiful setting for fireworks, but the debris from fireworks poisons fish. So Woodbridge Festival and the Boathouse are organising a more eco friendly fireworks night, with early evening music and projections on the tide mill and other activities. The Boathouse will be providing seasonal snacks and drinks in the new Whisstocks square – but if you would like to book a table in the restaurant please contact the Boathouse via facebook or their website.

Joining host DJ Ben Osborne, is Richard Haugh, whose Uprock nights in Ipswich hosted acts such as Mumford & Sons and Ed Sheeran – the latter famously played a night with Richard at Woodbridge’s much loved local, The Anchor. Richard was the longest serving presenter of BBC Radio Suffolk’s Introducing programme and his eclectic sets span everything from indie dance to punk funk and acid jazz.

Myogenic brings his VJ skills to Woodbridge having performed across the globe at prestigious places such as Sydney Opera House, alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music.

Ben Osborne plays club and festivals across Europe. He also performs at major art galleries and has shared the stage with acts such as Groove Armada, Gilles Peterson and Jazzie B. He also shares Richard’s radio background, having hosted a long running dance show on London’s original Xfm station.
